Zombies Rise For Annual Run

November 3, 2017 | Kaleigh O'Neill

On Saturday October 28th, Crestview was completely overrun with the undead coming to life for the very first annual Halloween Zombie Run, hosted by the CHS Wrestling Team. At the head of the festivities, Coach Roman Rozell had quite a lot to say about how smoothly everything turned out:

“For the first annual run, the weather was not on our side with thunderstorms, but the storm subsided and show still went on and it was awesome! We had a small crowd, maybe 25, but we had more register. They probably didn’t come thinking we were going to cancel. Pre-registration was at 0730 and the run started at 0800. We had 8 kids participate in the 1k. We had medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the 1k and the 5k.”

After speaking with a few members of the wrestling team, it was quite obvious¬†how electric and truly¬†haunting it was. “It was nice how all the people came together to exercise and enjoy everyone’s company. The scaring of participants was just an added bonus.”, one wrestler explained.
