The Little Shop Of Horrors

December 8, 2017 | Heidi Quarrier

Based off of an original movie from the 1960s,the Little Shop of Horrors show was recreated with the help of CHS’s theater club. The class performed the 60s classic in front of exited crowds on September 9th, 10th, and 11th in the high school auditorium.

The curtains open up revealing a run down florist shop consisting of 3 people: Mr.Mushnik, Seymour, and Audrey (performed by Jolvin Mejias, Jacob O’Hara, and Hanna Hancock). When Seymour finds an odd plant (Jeremy Tymon), it helps him deal with his and his friends problems leading them to start trusting it. Unfortunately the plant, now called Audrey 2, grows bigger and bigger causing it to become a fatal problem and in the end everybody suffers the consequences.

Everybody deeply enjoyed the suspenseful yet exiting play. The drama class worked exceptionally hard practicing their musical and it seems as though everybody thought so as well. An 11th grade junior recalls that the show was terrific and that the cast had done a “great job on the background and costumes”.
