Crestview High School Arranges “Stage Door”
Crestview High School will be having a curtain-raiser about the choice between love or the spotlight in the theater. The play is called Stage Door, by Edna Feber and George S. Kaufman. Usually, there is a spring musical, but “This play just felt as appropriate and fitting to do this year.” says CHS theater teacher Annette Gebhardt.
The performance will be held at Crestview High School in the auditorium on April 6th, 7th, and 8th at 7 pm. (Dates may be rescheduled due to it intervening with the senior trip.) Tickets will be $7 each.
The play is known to be a bigger production, therefore leading to a larger play with more people and more props. Auditions were January 23rd and 24th. Mrs. Gebhardt said “Not everyone can become a star athlete, but anyone can move a prop.” The play offers an opportunity for all students to participate no matter who they are or what they can do. Mrs. Gebhardt also said “The students always have lots of fun and friends, in the end, everyone tends to act as a big happy family.”
