Stage Door is Preparing to Open!

March 24, 2017 | Mikayla Schad

Stage Door is a play about a group of young women trying to make their way in the difficult world of theater, which was written by Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman.

The theater department has been preparing for this play since January, obtaining set pieces and scripts. Though there have been set backs, the theater department powers through, adapting to each change.

The Stage Doors crew and cast has practices every Tuesday and Thursday. On March  23rd, the cast was expected to be “off book” meaning that lines were expected to be mostly memorized and stage directions were expected to be known. Naturally there were some mistakes but by opening night it will be memorized completely.

The theater department is very excited for the performances April 20th, 21st and 22nd at 7 p.m. for $7 at the door.
