Students have numerous options for registration for IT classes

Every day, new innovations are being discovered that help further our society technologically. But, in order for these technologies to positively impact the world, people must be taught to use the technology to manage and process information. Here at Crestview High, there are courses offered to teach students how to make the most out of today’s technologies including:

AP Computer Science: This course teaches students foundational computer science concepts and to write object-oriented programs using the Java language.

Computer Fundamentals: This course introduces students to the essential knowledge about computers (and their systems) and networks.

Digital Information Technology: This course introduces students to information technology. It primarily focuses on keyboarding and word processing in order to teach communication and strengthen workplace proficiency. This course offers students the opportunity to earn Microsoft industry certification.

Digital Design: This course introduces students to digital photography, drawing, and publishing and also teaches students how to use Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. This course offers students the opportunity to earn Adobe industry certification. There are four different levels of this course available.

Entrepreneurship: This course introduces students to the skills needed to create and own a business. Students will learn how to create a plan for an innovative business.

Networking: This course introduces students to the Windows operating system and teaches them about the fundamentals of networking, security, and server administration.
This course offers students the opportunity to earn Microsoft industry certification. There are four different levels of this course available.

Web Design: This course introduces students to basic graphic editing using Adobe Fireworks and the fundamental concepts of web design and programming using both hand-coding and Adobe Dreamweaver. This course offers students the opportunity to earn CIW industry certification. There are four different levels of this course available.
