HOSA holds a Butter Braid fundraiser

March 2, 2016 | Madison North

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is an after school club for students interested in the medical field. Students in this club attend bimonthly conferences, practice medical skills and go to competitions relating to anatomy and physiology. For more information on this club, click here.

Through March 9th, students in this club will be selling Butter Braids (light, flaky pastries) containing the following fillings:

Butter Braid pastries are hand-braided with a sweet dough base containing over 25 layers of light, airy dough and 100% real butter. These pastries also come with an icing packet.

During one of the faculty meetings, HOSA students set up a table to give out samples to the attending teachers. HOSA members also sampled these Butter Braids. The most liked pastry by the students was, by far, the strawberry cream cheese filled.

Dr. Tammy McKenzie is the sponsor of this club. The money raised will go towards HOSA’s State Conference as well as training supplies for future competitions. To help them reach this goal, see a HOSA member or Dr. McKenzie to order a Butter Braid for $14 each.
