January 24, 2017 | Zamiya Griffin

Friday, January 20th, the Crestview Bulldogs Boys Varsity Basketball team played a hard game against the Choctaw Indians and lost. The first couple minutes of the game Choctaw came out strong but Crestview ended the first quarter down by one point. The first quarter score was 12-11.

Shortly after the 2nd quarter began, Rusty Moorer started it off with a 3 pointer putting the Bulldogs in the lead. With the Choctaw crowd constantly booing Crestview, the quarter ended with Crestview in the lead by 2 points. The second quarter score was 24-22.

After half-time, and a performance by the Choctaw dance team, Choctaw started the game back off with a 3 pointer. With fouls constantly being called, and going out of bounds, the 3rd quarter ended with Crestview down by 8; score being 39-31.

In the last quarter of the game, Crestview did everything they could to get the game back on their side. Keenan Redd, one of Crestview’s starting players, fouled out of the game entirely. In the end the game was difficult for Crestview to turn around. Choctaw took the win, ending the game with a 25 point lead and a final score of 70-45.
