CHS Student Gives Perspective On The IT Certification Exam

January 29, 2016 | Alana Berry

During the first semester, George Stakley and Megan Million’s Intro to IT classes took the Microsoft Word certification exam in order to test their knowledge of the software. For more information about the certification testing, read the Intro to IT Classes Take Certification Exam article. Eve Fleischer, a 9th grade student at Crestview High School, passed her certification exam. Paw Prints recently caught up with Eve to get her perspective on the test.

What was the test like in your opinion?

It was easy. A little too easy but I can’t complain.

Was the exam easier or harder than you imagined?

It was easier, WAY easier.

How did the SAM and GMetrix programs help you pass the exam?

Well, it didn’t teach me some things but I figured them out [during the test]. It showed me things that I didn’t even know existed on Word.

Why did you choose to take the IT class?

My dad is trained on computers. I guess there is a part of me that wants to live up to my dad.

Will you continue to take Crestview High School’s computer classes?

Yes.

Is this a career path you’d like to take?

In all honesty, no it wouldn’t be. Though, it could be useful.
