CHS Senior Class Hosts High School Fest

April 21, 2016 | Alana Berry

On Friday, April 29th, the senior class hosted High School Fest as a way to help pay for graduation this year. This event was an end of the year celebration and included live performances, games, food, activity booths and more.

The festival had a $3 entry fee. Students were also given the opportunity to purchase blue comfort color “Hang Loose” t-shirts for the festival for $12. All proceeds went to benefit the senior class.

Different clubs at CHS set up activities and games for students and parents to participate in. For example, Paw Prints set up a dart game, Multicultural Council hosted a photo booth, the Theater department hosted a cupcake walk and performed a song, “Man I Feel Like a Woman”, from the musical production “Emma”, and many other clubs like SGA, and Art Club set up other activities. Students were able to participate at each booth for free or for a small fee. Those proceeds benefited the group that hosted the booth.

Zoe Carr and Erika Holmes were some of the musical acts at the festival, with Carr preforming a variation of popular songs and Holmes showing off her DJ-ing talents.
