Annual Canned Food Drive

November 18, 2016 | Amiya Tucker

Crestview High School participated in the annual Canned Food Drive in the month of November.

Teachers and staff asked that students bring any type of canned food or non-perishable items to their 5th period teachers. The 5th period teacher with the most canned food collected got a prize of Amazon school supplies and a pizza party for their class.

The annual Canned Food Drive was started by the Leadership club, a club organized to teach students leadership skills to better the community. They started this tradition to help businesses provide food for families on Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Teachers and staff received about 300 food items for families in need for a special holiday.
