Memorial Day Holiday
Memorial Day Holiday is Monday, May 27th. There will be no school.
Senior Exam Schedule
Seniors will take End of Course exams Tuesday, May 28th through Friday, May 31st. See the Senior Exam Schedule.
Underclassman Exam Schedule
Underclassman will take End of Course exams Monday, June 3rd through Thursday, June 6th. See the Underclassman Exam Schedule.
School Newspaper
There will be a meeting Wednesday, May 29th, at 2:00 in room 104 regarding offering a school newspaper for next year. The meeting is open to anyone who is interested. There are many positions and opportunities available for students to display their skills and talent.
Senior Breakfast
The Senior Breakfast will be Monday, June 3rd at 9:00am at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Junior Class Meeting
Juniors will be meeting during the “Breakfast/Break” on June 4th in the Auditorium.
Senior Color Me Done Run/Walk
The Senior “Color Me Done” run/walk will be Wednesday, June 5th at 9am at the stadium.
Senior Activity Day
Senior Activity Day will be Thursday, June 6th at 9:00am at the CHS Baseball field.
Baccalaureate
Baccalaureate will be Tuesday, June 4th at 6:00pm at Woodlawn Baptist Church. Baccalaureate Practice will be Tuesday, June 4th at 9:00am at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Graduation
Graduation for the class of 2013 will be Friday, June 7th at 8:00pm at Jack Foster Stadium.
2012 – 2013 Honor Students
The students listed on each page below were selected as honor students for the 2012-2013 School Year.
Summer Driver Education
Summer Driver Education will be held June 11th – June 24th from 7:00am to 1:00pm. The cost per student will be $150.00. Students may sign up in the Guidance Office May 20th – June 6th. Please read the Summer Driver Education letter for more information.
Attn: Seniors
Seniors who plan to attend college after Graduation should come by the Guidance Office to request a final transcript. Final transcripts will show a Graduation date (which all colleges will be looking for). You should make the request once you have made you final choice of college. You will not officially (via paperwork) graduate until the middle of June and we will forward transcripts to the college of your choice once then.
Summer School
Students interested in signing up for Summer School should complete the Summer School Registration Form and turn it in to the Guidance Office.
Summer School will be from 7:30am to 1:00pm. No student may attend less than the full day. Lunch will be provided. Transportation will not be provided. Summer School is offered in two sessions.
Session 1 will be:
- June 11th – June 14th (M-Th)
- June 17 – June 21 (M-F)
- June 24 – June 28 (M-F)
Session 2 will be:
- July 9 – July 12 (T-F)
- July 15 – July 19 (M-F)
- July 22 – July 26 (M-F)
Seats are limited. Current Seniors will take priority. Summer School dates and times will be announced later.
Lost and Found
Students: If you have lost any items this school year, check lost and found in the Clinic. Items that are not claimed will be donated.
2013-2014 Course Changes
Current 9th – 11th grade students received a tentative copy of their courses for the 2013-2014 School Year on Friday, April 5th. Current 8th grade students should recieve a tentative copy of their courses for the 2013-2014 School Year on Friday, April 12th.
Changes to these courses can be requested through Guidance or by emailing CHSScheduleChange@gmail.com. Changes should be made by June 9th.
French Club Recycling Fundraiser
The French Club is collecting aluminum cans to recycle and welcomes cash donations toward student expenses for the summer 2014 trip to Noirmoutier, France. Donors may drop off cans at the high school or at the blue pen in front of the snowball stand near P.J. Adams Parkway.
