Later that day Harrison was awarded his second gold medal in the 5K, another Olympic event for which he holds the state record. The CHS Special Olympic Unified Soccer team brought home silver medals from the 2015 summer games in Orlando this past weekend.

Unified sports brings people with intellectual disabilities together with their non-disabled partners to compete as teammates in the Special Olympic games.  Unified teams are made up of people of similar age and ability and is inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.  CHS is the only unified school in Okaloosa County and one of less than ten in the state.  Congratulations to this amazing group of silver medal winners!!
